Housing Options Officer
About the role
This is a great time to join Test Valleys forward thinking and proactive housing team. We are looking for a new Housing Options Officer; this post plays a key role in the prevention of homelessness in the Borough.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers to prevent them from becoming homeless
- Operate within the legal framework and internal policies
- Carry out in-depth housing assessments and investigate applications for assistance
- Identify how to ensure each customer maintains a home
- May involve working with customers to save their current home or helping them to find a new one
- Work with Ukrainian and/or refugees from other backgrounds as and when required
- Ensure the Council adheres to its legal responsibilities
- Work closely with all other teams within the housing service whose primary focus is to prevent and relieve homelessness

Pay
Salary range £37,649 52 - £41,121 00 per annum
Schedule
The role is expected to be across our Andover and Romsey Offices with some flexibility for home working.
