About the role

Join EDEN as a Full-Time Housing Locator in Cleveland, where you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients seeking affordable housing solutions. This position offers a unique chance to engage directly with the community, helping families and individuals navigate rental assistance options, including Section 8 and HUD programs.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients through phone calls and virtual meetings, guiding them through the complexities of rental assistance programs including Section 8 and HUD options.
• Research affordable housing listings, coordinate with landlords, and conduct follow-ups to ensure clients are making progress.
• Enter case notes and update client records in our management system to ensure accurate tracking of progress and needs.
• Meet regularly with team members to share insights and solutions, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our housing assistance efforts.
• Adapt to best practices in helping clients navigate their housing journey.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience in homeless and housing services.
• A valid Ohio driver's license with 4 points or less and proof of insurance.
• A reliable personal vehicle for transportation to be utilized for work purposes.
• Certification in Housing Quality Standards (HQS) is preferred (upon hire, the employee is required to complete and pass certification requirements).
