Housing Inspector

The City of Keene is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housing Inspector to ensure safe, healthy, and well-maintained housing conditions for all residents.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate housing units for compliance with local codes and regulations
  • Inspect properties for safety hazards and maintenance issues
  • Provide education and guidance to property owners and tenants
  • Document findings and communicate with stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal housing laws

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of experience in property management, building inspection, or a related field
  • Valid driver's license

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to educate others and build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders

Benefits

Competitive pay range of $28.13 - $35.06 per hour.
