Housing Counselor
Presbyterian Homes & Services is seeking a Housing Counselor to represent the organization and its operating entities in sales and marketing efforts, helping prospective residents and their representatives explore senior living services and options.

Marvella, located at 825 Mount Curve Blvd, St. Paul, MN 55116, is the newest Presbyterian Homes & Services community. Situated in the Highland Park neighborhood, Marvella offers senior housing, retail/commercial businesses, and market-rate apartments with easy access to shops, dining, and scenic views of the Mississippi River. The community provides diverse living options and supportive services for older adults.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development and execution of marketing strategies and plans under the direction of site leadership and in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director.
- Target necessary audiences and implement plans to achieve marketing goals for the site.
- Plan and execute a community networking program, including meetings and presentations with community leaders and groups to promote the project’s services.
- Serve as the primary on-site sales and marketing representative, providing information about services, pricing, financial assistance, and related details to inquiries.
- Respond to calls, conduct tours, and offer advice and support to prospective customers during their decision-making process.
- Maintain accurate records of inquiries, lead tracking, follow-ups, and waiting lists using a designated computerized lead management system.
- Coordinate marketing processes with site staff according to established timeframes.
- Assist residents and their representatives with preadmission procedures, including completing reservation and entrance deposit agreements.
- Ensure a smooth transition of admissions processes to site staff per established timeframes.
- Communicate marketing and admission information in a timely manner to all customers.
Qualifications
- College degree in social work, gerontology, marketing, human services, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in senior housing, service, or healthcare-related environments.
- Sales experience preferred.
- Understanding of basic sales and marketing principles.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate effectively with all customers.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common computer programs, including customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Team player willing to take direction and accept responsibility for meeting specified objectives.
- Flexibility with periodic weekend or later hours, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with prospective customers, residents, family members, coworkers, visitors, and the public.
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS’ mission and operating philosophies.
Pay
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $29.46 - $36.81 per hour. The actual pay depends on individual qualifications and market conditions.
