Housing Advocate - Women's Shelter

Employment Type: Part time

Schedule

3 days per week, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. OR 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. (non-exempt/hourly)

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in human services or related field and 1 year of related work experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field and 3 years’ related work experience.
  • Understanding of the issues related to homelessness, mental health, and recovery from substance abuse disorder.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Act 33/34/73 clearances.
  • Pre-employment drug screen.

About the Role

  • Permanent Supportive Housing Services: Helping individuals secure and maintain stable housing.
  • Income & Benefit Coordination: Assisting with financial resources and benefits.
  • Supportive Case Management & Follow-up Care: Ensuring continuity of care for those placed in housing programs.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with supervisors, colleagues, providers, and persons served.
  • Program Oversight: Managing demand and supply of services, implementing best practices, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations.
