About the Role
A Houseperson assists in the daily operation of housekeeping, fulfilling guest and staff requests, stocking supplies, transporting linen and trash, maintaining equipment, and assisting with room cleaning as needed.
Responsibilities
- Respond to guest and staff requests for supplies
- Stock supply closets
- Transport linen to and from laundry
- Hauling trash and recycling from villages to proper bins
- Maintain cleanliness of Housekeeping golf carts
- Replace light bulbs in guestrooms
- Assist with cleaning of rooms and villages as needed
Requirements
- Good communication skills
- Well organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English (Spanish helpful but not required)
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight
- Constant physical movement, including positioning to clean all areas of guest rooms (e.g., floors, under beds, behind furniture, high and low bathroom fixtures)
- Transport up to 300 lbs., position up to 50 lbs., and move up to 30 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Work on feet for extended periods in well-lighted, heated, or air-conditioned indoor settings
- Outdoor work exposed to changing weather conditions (e.g., rain, sun, snow, wind)
