Responsibilities

  • Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty ash urns, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.
  • Clean public areas—hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc.
  • Remove dirty linen, terry and trash from the service areas and transport to appropriate locations.
  • Assist sectional housekeepers as needed (e.g., moving furniture, rollaways).
  • Report missing or damaged articles and submit all found items to the Housekeeping office per Lost and Found procedures.
  • Respond to guest requests and questions; report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure hallways are clear of trash and used room service trays are taken to the Stewarding department.
  • Report the need for floor cleaning/polishing and carpet shampoo; coordinate and operate cleaning equipment.
  • Arrange newspapers and magazines in the lobby; clear tables of used materials and/or trash.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly to ensure items are logged with the PBX center.
  • Transport baby cribs and rollaway beds to guest rooms.
  • Participate in training classes set up by The Arrabelle, Rock Resort and Vail Resorts.
  • Comply with all resort policies, procedures and standards of operation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: 2–3 years of housekeeping experience or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Previous housekeeping experience in hotels or condos.
  • Must be able to communicate efficiently in English.
  • Must be able to communicate in Spanish.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods in excess of 2 hours without sitting.
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Pay

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr – $23.00/hr. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
