Houseperson

About the Role

The Housekeeping Houseperson (day or night shift) is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various public areas inside and outside the hotel, delivering amenities and requested items to guests, cleaning guest rooms when specially requested, assisting with laundry, monitoring indoor corridors and outdoor premises, and addressing guest complaints (e.g., noise).

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Comply with company, hotel, and brand standards to ensure a safe and efficient hotel operation.
• Complete all stocking and organizational duties, including stocking guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.
• Carry a communication device (pager, radio, etc.) and respond to all calls.
• Deliver guest requests (e.g., extra towels, amenities) to guest rooms.
• Remove trash and debris from corridors, public areas, parking lot, pool area, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness in all rooms, closets, hallways, public areas, pool area, and public restrooms.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of related work experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours in a day.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow verbal directions and complete assigned tasks on schedule.
