To assist the Room Attendants with the cleaning of assigned areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the cleaning of rooms, cabins and public spaces as outlined in the housekeeping manual and/or as directed by the Executive housekeeper.
- Clean and maintain public areas, windows, ash urns, sidewalks and vending areas including ice, washers/dryers and vending machines.
- Clean and maintain fireplaces, balconies and hallways.
- Stock housekeeping carts and linen rooms.
- Deliver welcome baskets to assigned areas.
- Move furniture, as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of all floors.
- Maintain an awareness of all safety procedures and guidelines as they relate to guests and associates.
- Lift 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Provide professional, friendly service to all guests.
- Ensure early morning newspaper delivery to rooms.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to work well with a team, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate a sense of urgency and concern for guest satisfaction.
- Must have a safe driving record and a Missouri class "E" or Arkansas "P" designated driver's license.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
