About the role

As a Houseperson, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of public areas and corridors of the hotel. This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Responsibilities

  • Upkeep the public areas
  • Assist with Housekeeping by providing basic housekeeping duties (changing sheets, arranging towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging rooms after guest check-out)
  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs
  • Recognize and report potential safety hazards (e.g., broken doors or railings, fire hazards) and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, or disturbances
  • Maintain shelf organization in storerooms and replenish supplies as needed
  • Clean furniture, elevators, glass, planters, light fixtures, carpets, walls, and more in public areas such as the lobby, pool, and public restrooms
  • Deliver special request items such as cribs to guest rooms

  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
  • Effective in handling workplace problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Approachable and available for all guests while providing excellent guest service

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
