About the role

Handle all assigned areas of the hotel to ensure they are clean, organized, and in compliance with the hotel's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pull linen and trash.
• Portray a positive company image and engage in professional and friendly communication with all guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage rooms.
• Handle the cleanliness and appearance of sidewalks, stairs, outside doors, windows, and vents.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash and waste in designated areas.
• Daily vacuuming of rooms and public areas.
• Assist in special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or manager.
• Clean outside doors, windows, and vents.
• Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
• Remove all used linens daily and replace with clean linen.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• One or more years of general customer service experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to work long shifts up to 12 hours.
• Frequently reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours, carries, and pushes.
• Frequently uses hands or fingers, handles or feels objects, tools, or controls in repetitive motions.
• Requires full sight and hearing capacity.
• Frequently required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
• Periodically lifts and carries containers weighing up to 50 pounds and pushes/pulls up to 80 pounds.
• Must frequently communicate with staff and read documentation.
• Occasionally exposed to hazards including slipping, tripping, and falls.
• Frequent exposure to dirt, humidity, heat, cold, and water immersion.
• Exposure to harsh and hazardous sanitation solutions and frequent hand washing.
