Housekeeping Worker (part time) Day Shift

Part-time (22.5 hours per week) position with an 8 am to 4 pm shift, including alternate weekends and holidays as needed. New hires must be available to attend a 5-day orientation.

About the Role

Under general supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager, you will clean and service building areas, move furniture, equipment, and supplies within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and sanitize all areas of the facility, including corridors, common areas, lobby, offices, restrooms, stairwells, and elevators.
• Collect, clean, reline receptacles, and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Clean, disinfect, and sanitize resident rooms and corridors, including high-touch areas, furniture, beds, restrooms, handrails, overbed tables, and commodes using proper techniques and chemicals.
• Work with various cleaning chemicals and solutions.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return them to correct placement.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Remove and transport Regulated Medical Waste in compliance with Infection Control and Blood-borne Pathogen Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary, and attractive manner.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain established Infection Control practices when performing all tasks.
• Perform strip, wax, and buffering tasks.

Requirements

• High School Graduate/GED preferred.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
