Housekeeping/Transportation

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms and baths to prevent infections and cross contamination
• Clean offices, sitting & eating areas
• Perform duties in accordance with JCAHO, Federal, and State regulations, FBH mission, policies and procedures
• Clean and service building areas according to established procedures
• Move furniture, equipment and supplies in and around facility
• Perform a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the facility in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition
• Coordinate safe transportation of hospitalized patients to and from their residences/appointments
• Handle meal pick up
• Transport patients to and from the facility site
• Aid other staff in patient chart production
• Assist with meal provision
• Communicate to staff any problematic or clinical issues that occur during supervision or transportation of patients

Requirements

• High School Graduate
• Current Motor Vehicle License with clean MVR
• Minimum of 1-3 years housekeeping experience working in a hospital or nursing home environment
