Key Responsibilities
- Manage, train, and schedule housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry personnel, and supervisors.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.
- Maintain par levels of linens, amenities, cleaning supplies, and other housekeeping inventory.
- Collaborate with the front office and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Address guest complaints or concerns related to cleanliness promptly and professionally.
- Enforce safety and sanitation standards in compliance with hotel policies and health regulations.
- Prepare department budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost control.
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor new housekeeping staff members.
- Implement eco-friendly and sustainable housekeeping practices where applicable.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (3+ years) in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning products, and safety standards.
- An ability to manage a diverse team and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
- Degree or certification in hospitality management is a plus.
