Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, train, and schedule housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry personnel, and supervisors.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain par levels of linens, amenities, cleaning supplies, and other housekeeping inventory.
  • Collaborate with the front office and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Address guest complaints or concerns related to cleanliness promptly and professionally.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation standards in compliance with hotel policies and health regulations.
  • Prepare department budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost control.
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor new housekeeping staff members.
  • Implement eco-friendly and sustainable housekeeping practices where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning products, and safety standards.
  • An ability to manage a diverse team and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Proficiency in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
  • Degree or certification in hospitality management is a plus.
