About the role
This position is responsible for managing the overall day-to-day and long term operations of the housekeeping department including the upkeep of all the guestrooms, public spaces, and the outdoor surroundings.
Responsibilities
- Partners with the Housekeeping Manager to recruit, develop, manage and monitor performance while making any recommendations for disciplinary actions
- Maintains a proven set of processes to assure the hotel is consistently clean taking personal responsibility and pride in both the execution and the results
- Provides ongoing training and support for the housekeeping department employees
- Schedules housekeeping staff and room cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage
- Performs all housekeeping duties necessary including cleaning guest rooms and hotel public space to ensure guest satisfaction and owner expectations
- Partners with the Housekeeping Manager to complete inventory and maintain par levels for linen and room supplies
- Inspects all assigned guest rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest expectations
- Completes other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School or equivalent education required
- Minimum of 2 years housekeeping experience with at least 6 months in housekeeping management at a supervisory or manager level
- Must be able to communicate effectively in a multi-lingual workplace environment
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance

Qualifications
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis
- Must be able to lift up to 50-lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200-lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Requires frequent kneeling, squatting, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment

Pay
Pay Range: $19-20/hour + Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position; including experience, skills, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
