Housekeeping Rooms Inspector

About the role

The Rooms Inspector leads housekeeping teams, inspects rooms, ensures smooth operations of the department, and works closely with the Executive Housekeeper and other hotel departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise Room Attendants and Housepersons in a designated area to ensure all rooms and public areas meet established cleanliness and quality standards.
• Work with the Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor, and others to support the daily operation of the department, including opening/closing of the office, leading morning stand-up meetings, and communicating with the Front Desk.
• Assess room inventory, assign rooms for cleaning, and inspect rooms.
• Verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms.
• Monitor linen rooms, carts, and designated inventories.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Department to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of items related to guest rooms and public areas.
• Perform Room Attendant, Houseperson, or laundry duties as needed.
• Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner, answer their questions, and address any issues with the team to ensure the guest’s stay is a positively memorable experience.
