Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team on a PRN basis. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere and understands the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
  • Clean public spaces including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors
  • Dust and sanitize handrails and other high-touch surfaces
  • Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers
  • Empty trash containers and replace liners as needed
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of caution signs and chemical storage
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Keep housekeeping carts, supply areas, and equipment clean and organized
  • Report resident safety concerns promptly to facility leadership
  • Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishing
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism
  • Manage time effectively and complete assignments efficiently
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility cleanliness standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
