Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team on a PRN basis. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere and understands the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Clean public spaces including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors
- Dust and sanitize handrails and other high-touch surfaces
- Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers
- Empty trash containers and replace liners as needed
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of caution signs and chemical storage
- Operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies according to manufacturer guidelines
- Keep housekeeping carts, supply areas, and equipment clean and organized
- Report resident safety concerns promptly to facility leadership
- Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishing
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism
- Manage time effectively and complete assignments efficiently
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility cleanliness standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
