Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and treatment areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to facility standards
- Properly handle and dispose of waste, including biohazard materials, following safety protocols
- Refill supplies such as soap, paper products, and cleaning materials
- Follow infection control, safety, and OSHA guidelines at all times
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to supervisors
- Respect resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Work cooperatively with nursing and facility staff
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, nursing home, or rehabilitation setting is a plus
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
