Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and treatment areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to facility standards
  • Properly handle and dispose of waste, including biohazard materials, following safety protocols
  • Refill supplies such as soap, paper products, and cleaning materials
  • Follow infection control, safety, and OSHA guidelines at all times
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to supervisors
  • Respect resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
  • Work cooperatively with nursing and facility staff

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, nursing home, or rehabilitation setting is a plus
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
