About the role
Wellspring Lutheran Services - Skilled Nursing & Rehab, Monroe is seeking a Housekeeper who understands that housekeeping is about creating spaces where seniors feel respected, comfortable, and valued every day. As a Housekeeper, you'll play an important role in the daily experience of our residents through attention to detail, a compassionate approach, and commitment to excellence.
What Your Impact Will Look Like
- Help create an environment that feels warm, welcoming, and comfortable for every resident
- Ensure resident rooms, common spaces, dining areas, bathrooms, and shared living spaces are clean, safe, and inviting
- Help residents maintain dignity by respecting their personal belongings, honoring their preferences, and creating spaces that promote comfort and independence
- Contribute to the health and well-being of residents by following infection prevention practices and maintaining cleanliness throughout the community
- Work closely with team members across departments to ensure residents receive exceptional service and support every day
- Prepare rooms for new residents and help them feel welcomed from the moment they arrive
- Respond quickly to unexpected needs, assist during special events, or help maintain the beautiful environment that residents and families enjoy

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, dining spaces, offices, and other community areas to ensure they remain clean, safe, and welcoming
- Follow established housekeeping procedures, infection control practices, and safety standards that help protect residents, employees, and visitors
- Assist with laundry duties, room preparation, waste removal, floor care, and emergency housekeeping situations as needed
- Monitor the condition of furnishings, equipment, and supplies and communicate concerns when repairs, replacements, or replenishment are needed
- Help ensure our community remains a place where residents are proud to live and families feel welcome to visit
What You'll Bring
- A heart for serving older adults and helping create an environment where they feel respected, comfortable, and valued every day
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience is helpful, but not required — training available for those who share our commitment to service and excellence
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment
- A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers
- A commitment to supporting a culture of dignity, hospitality, and excellence

Schedule
- Full-time, Monday - Friday
- Day Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) OR Night Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm)
- Every other weekend rotation
