About the role

The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide provides quality housekeeping services and a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all facility residents and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning assigned areas such as resident rooms and bathrooms on a scheduled basis to meet high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety, and hazardous communication. The role involves planning efficient use of time, cooperating with staff, and performing duties with minimal disruption to residents and staff. The aide also maintains a clean work area, assists in managing department supplies, and supports overall facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and other assigned areas of the facility according to scheduled routines and department instructions.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety, and hazardous communication.
• Plan and manage time efficiently to minimize disruption to residents and staff.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and department.
• Assist in maintaining adequate supplies for the department.
• Lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds.

Requirements

• Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and take appropriate action.
• Ability to visually assess all aspects of the facility.
• Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and respond to pages.
• Physical ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop, and demonstrate fine hand coordination.

Pay

Per diem rate: $16.50/hour.

Schedule

16 hours per week.
