Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Reports to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, in accordance with the company’s personal appearance standards
- Maintains a friendly positive attitude that ensures positive guest experience and giving recognition to returning guests
- Follows and adheres to all policies and procedures as set forth by the Housekeeping Department
- Follows proper etiquette when communicating over the radio
- Responds, follows and closes HotSOS and other requests when assigned to them by the proper usage of Rexx/radio
- Helps room attendants by emptying trash and soiled linen from housekeeping carts
- Maintains the following areas at all times: public rest rooms, hotel lobby levels, ashtrays, elevators and tracks, ice machine areas, stairwells, building entrance and hallways
- Handles guests with excellent guest relations skills
- Cleans back-of-the-house windows as needed
- Vacuum guest hallways daily
- Uses proper chemicals when cleaning as described by the department’s procedures
- Attends all departmental meetings as scheduled
- Performs all duties in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintains linen closets clean, stocked and organized
- Bring trash to compactor at the end of the day
- Washes guest room glassware and delivers to linen closets
- Brings dirty glassware to housekeeping at the end of the shift
- Performs all other duties as directed by management that are consistent with the policies and procedures of the company
- Notifies immediate supervisors promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance

- Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards
Physical Demands
- On their feet over 2/3 of the time
- Walking over 2/3 of the time
- Using hands to handle, feel or point over 2/3 of the time
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling 1/3 of the time
- Using their listening and communication skills 2/3 of the time
- Able to push, pull, and carry 150 lbs
Qualifications
- Previous experience an asset
- Able to work as part of a dynamic quality-driven team
- Basic English language skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be customer-service oriented and have excellent hospitality skills
