About the Role

As a Houseperson at the Doubletree by Hilton San Diego Mission Valley, you’ll ensure the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of public areas, hallways, service areas, and guest floors while delivering memorable experiences that brighten guests’ stays.

Responsibilities

• Keep public areas spotless by maintaining cleanliness in restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces through daily tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, washing windows, and emptying trash.
• Delight guests by greeting them warmly, delivering requested items (linens, towels, amenities, cribs, rollaway beds), and assisting with room cleaning as needed.
• Manage supplies by stocking and organizing supply rooms to support efficient housekeeping operations.
• Handle special projects, including periodic deep cleaning tasks like flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and waxing floors.
• Support property maintenance by identifying and reporting repair needs or maintenance deficiencies.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests while providing courteous service.
• Support Room Attendants by collecting and transporting soiled linens, removing trash, restocking housekeeping carts, and assisting with room readiness.
• Operate housekeeping equipment safely and follow proper sanitation procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and workplace safety standards.
• Assist with moving furniture, setting up guest requests, and completing deep-cleaning projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift heavy items throughout the workday while performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
