Housekeeping | Floor Care Technician

Responsibilities

• To ensure that assigned housekeeping floor areas are kept clean and always sanitized.
• To services assigned public areas and Associate areas to meet the expectations of the Omni Standards.
• To perform floor care including waxing and stripping.
• To clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• To follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• To dust and wash furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; to clean ceilings, dust, and polish light fixtures.
• To wash and replace blinds.
• To move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• To remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• To mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• To strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• To clean and vacuum carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment.
• To gather and empty trash in garages.
• To wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
• To clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• To service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• To periodically clean overhead vents, dust blinds, and polish wood furniture.
• To clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• To keep janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order.
• To be expected to make basic repairs.
• To weekly cleaning of garage.
• To perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• To be able to use the cleaning equipment/chemicals including but not limited to Floor Scrubbers, Vacuums, Blowers, Degreaser, Multi-Purpose, Enzymes, etc.
• To be able to operate all cleaning equipment and machinery.
• To be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• To be able to stop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push and pull.
• To be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
