Housekeeping EVS Associate Night Shift

Responsibilities
- Perform all cleaning of patient rooms and/or assigned areas, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures.
- Plan the completion of daily cleaning tasks.
- Empty hampers and transport soiled linen.
- Empty trash containers and remove all trash.
- Empty all medical waste containers, including sharps.
- Inventory, restock and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels and hand soap in assigned areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment and notify appropriate personnel as repairs become necessary.
- Protect equipment from damage by proper use; properly log out and in equipment that has been used.
- Perform special projects such as window washing, wall washing and removing heavily soiled items or furnishings.
- Respond to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors.
- Meet or exceed goals for customer service satisfaction.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally.
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals, and to fill out chemical identification stickers.
- Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, and BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
- An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.
- Employees working at Olive Branch Senior Center must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous related experience and familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques.
- Additional related education and/or experience.
Schedule
- Full-time night shift: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am.
- Weekend rotations and holidays are required.
- Flat-rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18% night shift differential when applicable.
- Training schedule for all full-time and part-time: first week Monday–Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; second week Monday–Friday 11:00 pm – 7:30 am (including attending NEO on a Monday morning). Both BUMCT & BUMCS train together – location TBD by EVS Educator.
