Play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a welcoming and pleasant environment for guests. You will be responsible for the upkeep of cabins, public spaces, and amenities throughout the resort.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of cabins and comfort stations, including bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, showers, sinks, countertops, and floors regularly. Ensure all supplies (e.g., toilet paper, soap, paper towels) are stocked.
- Keep laundry facilities clean, including wiping down machines, folding tables, and maintaining cleanliness of floors and counters.
- Empty trash cans in public areas, replace liners, and maintain cleanliness. Collect and dispose of recycling properly.
- Greet guests in a friendly and approachable manner while providing housekeeping service.
- Answer guest questions about the resort and its amenities.
- Respond to guest concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
- Assist with preparation and cleanup of special events or group activities.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues (e.g., broken equipment, slippery floors) to the supervisor.
- Monitor and report signs of pests or insects in public spaces.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and maintain safety signage when cleaning.
- Ensure all public areas are well-stocked with necessary cleaning supplies, toiletries, and guest amenities.
- Assist with maintaining inventory for public areas and notify supervisors when stock is low.
- Collaborate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services teams.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions on new cleaning products, tools, and procedures.
- Keep a daily log of maintenance or cleanliness issues, as well as guest interactions that may need follow-up.
- Communicate areas of improvement for public areas to supervisors or management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or general manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a similar hospitality role, particularly in resorts or hotels (preferred).
- Strong communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to notice cleanliness and organization details.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, standing, walking, and cleaning for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Problem-solving ability to handle unexpected situations and guest requests with professionalism.
- Friendly, approachable, and courteous demeanor for guest interactions.
- Team player who collaborates well with colleagues.
- Dependable, reliable, and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexible scheduling required, including weekends and holidays.
