Housekeeping Attendant

About the role

Maximize customer satisfaction by providing neat and clean guest rooms in accordance with company and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms daily according to operational policies and standards to ensure customer satisfaction
• Remove soiled bed and bath linens and replace with clean linens as required
• Remove accumulated trash and debris from rooms
• Clean bathroom area and dust all surfaces
• Replenish promotional materials, literature, room amenities, and vacuum rooms as required
• Report unusual circumstances to the Housekeeping Department
• Report maintenance requests and replacement orders
• Turn in articles left in rooms to the Executive Housekeeper for “Lost and Found” handling
• Leave all guest belongings in stay-over rooms unless discarded in the trash
• Maintain supply cart and vacuum cleaner to maximize job efficiency and neat appearance
• Stock supply cart correctly and replace/empty vacuum cleaner bag daily
• Clean cart and vacuum cleaner regularly
• Organize and clean the linen closet to ensure quality and quantity of contents
• Check stock daily and notify Housekeeping manager or supervisor of any shortages
• Pull damaged or rewash linen and return them to the Laundry Department

Requirements

• 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred
• Flexible work hours to accommodate last-minute scheduling changes
• Availability to work weekend shifts
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, techniques, and safe use of chemicals
• Ability to adjust tasks and energy level in a fast-paced environment
• Must achieve required threshold scores according to brand and company inspections

Job Setting and Physical Demands

• Work primarily indoors
• Ability to stand for long periods, kneel, bend, crawl, squat, and crouch
• Tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals
