About the Role
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for enhancing the overall Resident experience by ensuring all areas of the community are neat, orderly, and welcoming for guests. Attention to detail and cleanliness is paramount in delivering the level of service Grand Living promises. The Housekeeping Assistant models The Sterling Touch®—friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional—resulting in a high level of Resident satisfaction while providing housekeeping services and upkeep of all common areas and resident apartments. This position operates under the general guidance of the Director of Environmental Services in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures, and philosophies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all areas of the community, including resident apartments and common spaces, are clean, orderly, and welcoming.
- Model The Sterling Touch® in all interactions: friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional.
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as scrubbing, scouring surfaces, and working in confined spaces.
- Stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, and grasp for extended periods.
- Lift or carry up to 20 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Communicate effectively with residents, guests, and staff to address requests and work orders.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Housekeeping experience (preferred).
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to communicate with residents, guests, and employees; comprehend work requests, product labels, and community communications.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including extending arms overhead, working in narrow or confined spaces, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds.
