Position Overview

Evening Shift Position Overview Sofidel America, a global leader in tissue paper manufacturing, is rapidly expanding across the U.S. We are currently seeking candidates for Housekeeping to join our team at our Shelby, NC location. This role will perform cleaning tasks within the plant to support the company's expectations. Continuously supports Sofidel’s Employee Personal Practice Policy.

Responsibilities

• Support Sofidel America’s Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace.
• Clean conference rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, closets, stairways and windows.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Regularly check the trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all areas of the site.
• Clean windows and mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces.
• Dust fixtures, shelves, and product as needed.
• Complete logs, as directed.
• Follow and comply with all applicable safety, health and housekeeping procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Build positive relationships through clear and respectful communication with supervisors, colleagues, and community members.
• Work evening shift hours from 7:00 pm – 3:00 am.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals written in English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.
