Housekeeping Assistant - Full-time Days - SF Center

About the role

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas for patients/residents, visitors and associates by following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines.
• Empty waste baskets, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, use brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Wear the proper protective equipment following the appropriate guidelines.
• Keep storage, equipment and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
• Assist in the laundry areas as appropriate.
• May have access to use of technology applications.
• Physical activities include considerable use of arms and legs and moving of whole body; such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, twisting, squatting, and handling materials.
• Lift and/or move up to 40-50lbs and push/pull up variable weight limits on flat surfaces or up and down ramps.
• On their feet for the majority of their shift.
• Exposed to certain levels of noise with the equipment in operation.
• Work hours will vary depending on patient/resident needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Qualifications

Pay

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule

Full time, 40 hours per week, 8 Hours - Day Shifts, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., includes every other Saturday & Sunday.
