Housekeeping and Nutrition
The Opportunity
Saint Luke’s Hedrick Medical Center is seeking a Housekeeping Associate to maintain the cleanliness of the facility. As a member of the Environmental Services Department, this position plays a crucial role in combating hospital infections. Additionally, the candidate will be cross-trained to support Nutrition Services and will work at both Wright Memorial and Hedrick Medical Center.
Shift Details
- 40 hours per week
- As early as 6 AM and as late as 10:30 PM
- Some weekends required
The Work
The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, bathrooms, floors, and offices. Duties include removing trash, wiping surfaces, and performing other cleaning tasks. Each housekeeper is responsible for their own trash, linen, and bio waste and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, flexibility, the ability to work independently, eagerness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset.
