Housekeeping Aide - Per Diem
KVH is an integrated healthcare delivery system that includes 24-hour emergency care, inpatient, and outpatient hospital services through KVH Hospital. Clinics and services provided include family medicine, internal medicine, a geriatric nurse practitioner program, home health and hospice, physical therapy, orthopedics, general surgery, pediatrics, women’s health, and urgent care.
About the role
Cleans and services hospital areas to ensure the safety, health, and morale of patients, visitors, and employees by providing a clean, attractive and safe environment with minimal interference to others. This position is represented by the Teamsters Union.
Requirements
- Valid WA State Driver’s License (may be required)
- Valid auto liability insurance (may be required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous hospital housekeeping experience
- Certification from the Association for the Health Care Environment
- Essentials of Infection Prevention and Environmental Hygiene
Pay
Wage range currently starts at $19.62/hour and goes up to $29.74/hour. Actual wage will be based on years of applicable experience. This position may also qualify for an additional 15% in lieu of benefits.
Shift differentials apply: Evenings (3p - 11p) = $2.50/hour, Nights (11p - 7a) = $3.50/hour, Weekends = $4.00/hour.

This position is not benefits eligible. KVH offers company contribution toward medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for eligible employees, including coverage for spouses/domestic partners and dependent children. Employees are pension eligible after one year of part-time status. KVH also provides educational programs such as the Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program and certification pay to encourage continuing education.
