Housekeeping Aide / Houseperson

About the Role

The Courtyard by Marriott Bellevue Downtown, managed by Puget Sound Hospitality, is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to join our team. We are passionate about providing unmatched service to our guests and creating growth opportunities for our associates.

Responsibilities

• Remove soiled linen and terry from housekeeping carts
• Remove garbage from housekeeping carts and replace with new liners
• Deliver supplies to housekeepers in a timely manner
• Deliver items to guest rooms upon request from guests or the front desk using brand service standards
• Maintain cleanliness of guest hallways by vacuuming, dusting, and reporting damage to maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping storage and work areas
• Wash and return glasses to housekeepers using proper equipment and sanitization processes
• Maintain cleanliness of main garbage/recycling area of the hotel
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas including Lobby, Business center, Public restrooms, driveway, Parking lot/Parking garage, guest and employee smoking area, fitness center, pool, elevator, and stairs
• Empty and clean garbage and recycling receptacles
• Maintain cleanliness of Administrative offices
• Assist guests with luggage
• Maintain communication with front desk, maintenance, housekeeping supervisor, and manager using a 2-way radio
• Provide information about property facilities
• Listen, apologize, and get help when guests encounter problems

• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness
• Adhere to grooming and uniform standards
• Deliver amenities and linen to guests upon request
• Set up baby cribs and sofa beds
• Use special equipment and machines safely
• Use chemicals following proper procedures and safety equipment
• Provide excellent customer service
• Maintain a positive attitude during difficult or stressful situations
• Ability to multi-task and fulfill several demands in a short time frame
• Report any unsafe work practices
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs, stand, squat, bend, and push cleaning machines and/or carts
• Follow and complete a detailed checklist each shift
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills

Pay

$24.00 per hour

Schedule

Flexibility to work AM and/or PM shifts is preferred, as the hotel operates 24/7.
