About the role

PCSI is looking for full and part-time Housekeeping Aides at the Blue Ridge Lodge Advanced Training Center in Harper’s Ferry, WV. The position performs essential housekeeping duties including daily cleanings and turnovers, reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor, and is based at the US Customs and Border Protection site in Harper’s Ferry, WV. Currently seeking applicants for 2nd shift and overnight for immediate hire, with other shifts as available; weekend availability is required. PCSI is an AbilityOne employer, and individuals and veterans with disabilities may be prioritized. Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, waxing, dusting and polishing.
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
• Protect equipment, furniture, and drapes and make sure there are no inadequacies.
• Conserve cleaning supplies.
• Notify supervisor of any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
• Handle reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety rules and be aware of company‑related practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one (1) year of prior experience working as a housekeeper or in related experience (preferred but not required).
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance.
• Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Skills

• Ability to operate general cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, pails, buffers, vacuums, steam cleaners, fans, etc.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures to perform assigned duties.
• Ability to assist and communicate with others as needed and establish effective working relationships.
