Responsibilities

• Carry out the duties of either Housekeeping and/or Laundry Departments which include but are not limited to the processing of all linen, residents' personal clothes and/or cleaning of assigned areas.
• Clean and service resident areas, baths, laboratories, educational facilities, corridors, utility rooms and beds.
• Dust and damp floors, dust furniture and equipment, clean windowsills, empty wastebaskets, arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Scour and polish bathtubs, sinks, mirrors and similar fixtures.
• Replenish supplies of disinfectants, soaps and towels.
• Polish any metal objects.
• Clean and polish glass panels in doors and partitions.
• Keep storage areas in good order and arrange supplies.
• Clean and disinfect beds, bed stands, utensils, sterilizers and wheelchairs.
• Empty waste baskets, clean and reline them.
• Vacuum carpets, shampoo upholstered furniture, and dust venetian blinds.
