Housekeeping Aide

About the role

Park Nursing Home is hiring a housekeeper in Rockaway Park, NY. We are a 196-bed facility located right by the boardwalk at Rockaway Beach with a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. We are accessible to the subway, water ferry, and buses.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust mop, and mop floors
• Change and remove trash
• Vacuum
• Follow cleaning guidelines
• Notify supervisor when supplies are low
• Keep housekeeping carts clean and in good working order
• Properly store equipment, tools, and supplies
• Keep a log of areas that are cleaned
• Report any mechanical or equipment condition to supervisor
• Report any questionable resident conditions to supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work as a team member
• Ability to work weekends
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently
• Positive and upbeat attitude
• Ability to pass Department of Health background check
