Housekeeping Aide

Responsibilities

• Provides quality housekeeping services, and a clean, orderly and safe environment for all facility residents and staff.
• Cleans assigned areas of the facility, including but not limited to resident rooms and bathrooms, on a scheduled basis to meet high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety and hazardous communication program.
• Plans efficient use of time, cooperates with all other staff and performs responsibilities with minimum disruption to residents and staff.
• Maintains a clean, orderly work area and department.
• Assists in maintaining adequate supplies needed in the department.

Requirements

• Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to take appropriate action.
• Ability to visually assess all aspects of facility.
• Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages.
• Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop and have fine hand coordination.
• Ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.

Pay

$17 per hour

Schedule

Full time including every other weekend (40 hours week)
