About the role

The Housekeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. They are responsible for various tasks such as taking out garbage, washing and drying frocks, and managing inventory of cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Taking out garbage within the lunchroom and breakroom areas
• Washing and drying the frocks worn on the plant floor each day
• Taking inventory of cleaning supplies
• Cleaning floors, walls, windows, lunchroom, and bathrooms
• Folding clean frocks
• Maintaining equipment to ensure it is in proper operating condition
• Making sure the daily production schedule is achieved and meeting specified goals
• Ensuring products conform to specifications and are correctly labeled and identified
• Monitoring workflow to maximize machine output efficiencies
• Keeping accurate records of products produced and materials used
• Suggesting improvements and continuously improving support activities
• Carrying out tasks as assigned by the lead/supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Prior Housekeeping experience, preferably in a plant or industrial setting
• Ability to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment
• Able to read and write legibly
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Able to work with little supervision
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE including earplugs, hairnets, beard-nets, protective eyewear, and slip-resistant footwear
• Ability to build and support a culture of openness and accountability within the department
