Housekeeper - Supervisor

About the role

The Hotel Indigo Cleveland Gateway is seeking a Supervisor for its Housekeeping team. This position ensures guest rooms and public spaces are clean and adheres to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is satisfactory
• Work as part of a team to maintain hotel cleanliness
• Distribute tasks and duties among staff
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness
• Train and onboard new employees
• Motivate and inspire current employees
• Assist with inventory of linens and supplies
• Perform performance evaluations
• Coordinate with Front Desk Supervisor and staff
• Report maintenance needs
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning chemicals
• Find coverage for absences or increased house counts
• Perform other related duties as requested

Requirements

• 6 months experience in a similar Housekeeping position desirable
• Engaging and caring personality
• Time management skills
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
• Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs

Pay

$17.50 - $18.50 per hour
