About the role

Cleans and sanitizes assigned Cherokee historical site(s) which involves, but is not limited to, collecting, and replacing soiled linens, vacuuming, mopping, window washing, cleaning and replenishing bathrooms, and trash removal.

Responsibilities

  • Deep cleans assigned Cherokee historical site(s), as needed.
  • Identifies and reports all damages and missing items in a timely manner to leadership.
  • Completes all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.
  • Keeps all hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.
  • Reports maintenance issues to leadership.
  • Sets up building for group events; cleans building before and after event, empties trash, sets up and tears down tables, chairs, and tablecloths, as needed.
  • Ensures tablecloths are laundered and ready for next event.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and at least two (2) years of housekeeping experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper storage and usage.
  • Knowledge of biohazards and required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to maintain a professional status through interface with customers.
  • Ability to be detail oriented and have a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to maintain interdepartmental relationships.
