Housekeeper/Room Attendant

The Room Attendant is an integral part of the Housekeeping Team, maintaining the guest rooms and suites to industry high standards to ensure the ultimate comfort for our visiting guests. Responsibilities
- Clean guestrooms as assigned by management and in accordance with hotel standards.
- Inspect all rooms (vacant or occupied) checking standard of cleanliness, missing guest amenities, and/or supplies.
- Provide genuine hospitality and recognition in the work area.
- Promote hotel services and products.
- Anticipate guest needs and take ownership of guest concerns and requests; act decisively to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Offer a special service touch when an opportunity is presented.
- Handle all relevant equipment and machinery safely; report defects and accidents to management immediately.
- Immediately report and hand into Housekeeping Office any property or guest keys found in ‘check out’ rooms.
- Keep linen rooms tidy, correctly stocked, and closed when not in use.
- Ensure working equipment is always clean, tidy, and in good working order.
- Report to the manager rooms that do not require service or have Privacy signs in assigned area.
- Report to managers any blankets, bedspreads, valances, etc. that need changing.
- Report any damages, repairs, or maintenance to managers.
- Complete deep cleaning of rooms as allocated by managers.
- Report anything or anyone suspicious and any Health and Safety hazards to managers.
- Carry out any other cleaning duties as specified by your manager.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and hotel employees.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership.

- Ability to perform all Room Attendant-related tasks and proficiently use job-related tools and equipment.
- Ability to remain calm in various situations, use sound judgement, and effectively solve problems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedural manuals.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize, and multi-task.
Qualifications

Work Environment & Physical Demands
Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism, and collaboration.
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to see, hear, reach, use fingers to handle and feel, stand, stoop, bend, and crouch up to 8 hours on a daily basis.
- Push, pull, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
