Housekeeper, PT, no benefits, 5:00pm-9:00pm. Monday through Frid

Job Summary

Perform indirect patient care including cleaning occupied and unoccupied patient areas and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

• Understand and follow infection control, housekeeping department policies and procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Remove trash/biohazardous waste, and contaminated soiled linen from all areas of the hospital according to housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Request cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
• Maintain equipment - keeping it clean, neat, and in working condition - following suggested manufacturer practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to maintain good physical and emotional well-being.
• Ability to sit, walk, bend, push carts and other equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Housekeeper I:

• Performs indirect patient care, including cleaning occupied and unoccupied patient areas.
• Maintains an environment which is hygienically clean and free of hazards for the well being of patients, other associates, and self.
• Handles all waste according to proper policy and procedures.
• Clean, disinfect areas using approved solutions.
• Requests cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
• Maintains equipment - keeps it clean, neat, and in working order.

Housekeeper II:

• Performs indirect patient care by cleaning/disinfecting and maintaining floors in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive fashion free of hazards for the well being of patients, other associates, and self.
• Removes trash/biohazardous waste, and contaminated soiled linen from all areas of the hospital according to housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Requests cleaning supplies and equipment as needed, maintains equipment - keeping it clean, neat, and in working condition - following suggested manufacturer practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience desirable but not required.
