Housekeeper (PRN)

About the role

Tuscany Village Nursing Center in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking Housekeeper staff to join a team recognized for its achievements and contributions. The facility specializes in long‑term and rehabilitative care and focuses on providing superior clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet the wants, needs, and expectations of patients and residents.

Responsibilities

• Dust and clean assigned areas, including resident rooms, living areas, furniture, fixtures, vents, lavatories, and basins as scheduled.
• Dust‑mop, wet‑mop, or spot‑mop floors using appropriately proportioned concentrated cleaning chemicals as scheduled.
• Strip, seal, wax and/or buff floors, as necessary.
• Vacuum, extract and/or shampoo carpets, as necessary.
• Wash and dry windows using appropriately proportioned concentrated cleaning chemicals as scheduled.
• Empty trash containers, replace liners, and dispose of trash in proper receptacles.
• Strip and dispose of spoiled linens in appropriate receptacles for washing.
• Replace linens and make residents’ beds as scheduled.
• Report repair needs to the supervisor and/or maintenance department as appropriate.

Safety Precautions

• Knowledge and understanding of how to properly use cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets.
• Use proper safety equipment and tools to identify hazards and abide by the community’s safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping operations preferred.
• Previous experience with floor‑care equipment preferred.
• Able to tactfully communicate with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
• Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
