Housekeeper - Part Time Floater

About the Role

This position involves cross-training between the Dietary and Housekeeping departments, with work locations in Bentonville and Springdale. The role requires daytime 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain housekeeping and laundry duties following infection control standards and organizational policies.
• Perform general cooking and cleaning tasks in areas including:
  • Kitchen and patient rooms
  • Common living areas and public bathrooms in Hospice Homes
  • Facility, conference rooms, chapel, library, children's center, common areas, offices, kitchens, and bathrooms
• Assist with laundry or kitchen tasks as directed.
• Follow department practices and procedures.
• Operate standard institutional cleaning equipment.
• Gather and dispose of trash and waste materials using specified bags/containers.
• Keep equipment, tools, and work areas neat and orderly.
• Attend required meetings and participate in educational programs, in-service meetings, and fire drills.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge and ability to operate standard institutional cleaning equipment and hand tools.
• Familiarity with various cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Ability to work with strong cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks requiring agility and dexterity.
• Ability to learn routine tasks quickly.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
• Current satisfactory TB skin test.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• One year of prior experience in an institutional setting preferred.
