Overview
Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is a nationwide team providing jobs for people with significant disabilities, including war-wounded veterans. Work Location
Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson Airforce Base, Anchorage, AK*
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to understand oral and/or written instructions.
- Ability to follow multi-step instructions.
- Ability to interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and team members.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specified contract(s).
- Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings, and drug tests as appropriate.
Compensation
The hourly rate will be $25.08.
Physical Requirements
- May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions.
- Most work will take place indoors.
- May work with cleaning chemicals.
- Will be required to follow the Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements.
Schedules
Schedules are subject to change. May require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours as well as weekends and holidays.
Lifting and Moving
- Will be required to lift or move up to 40 pounds.
- Will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
