About the Role
The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long-term care facility in Hanson, Kentucky, committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic Housekeeper to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, orderly, comfortable, sanitary, and attractive environment.
- Maintain records of maintenance, cleaning of assigned areas, and supply usage.
- Perform other housekeeping duties as needed, such as cleaning and maintaining floors.
Requirements
No formal education, experience, training, or skills are required.
This agency is prohibited from hiring employees with convictions identified in 906 KAR 1:190. A fingerprint-supported national background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment.
Pay
- Base Pay: $10.34 hourly
- Locality Premium: $7.89 per hour
- Shift Premiums (applied to base salary):
- Second & Third Shift: 15%
- Weekend: 25%
- Holidays: 25%
Working Conditions
- May risk exposure to chemicals associated with cleaning supplies.
- May risk burns in operation of laundry machinery.
This position has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
