Housekeeper - Part-time

About the role

Join Benchmark as a housekeeper and maintain a safe, clean community for residents, associates, and visitors. Your main duties will include laundering towels, bed linens, and resident laundry, as well as the upkeep of resident apartments. Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean all assigned resident apartments as scheduled by the supervisor, including:
  • Bathrooms: toilet bowl, sinks, bathtubs, wipe countertops and mirrors, and sterilize floors
  • Kitchen: wipe counters and under objects, mop kitchen floor
• Vacuum all exposed areas completely, including edges
• Empty and rinse (if necessary) wastebaskets
• Wash inside of windows as needed
• Clean all common areas according to standards and practices, including elevators, halls, landings, stairs, resident activity areas, lobbies, and model units
• Clean other flat surfaces as scheduled or requested by the supervisor
• Maintain a clean and orderly laundry room
• Store chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instructions
• Understand and follow practices for proper handling of biohazardous waste

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• Experience cleaning residential or commercial settings is preferred (training will be provided)
