Housekeeper (Part-Time) - Akins Ford Arena/The Classic Center

The Classic Center in Athens, GA is seeking energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals to join the Arena Housekeeping team. Help create the clean, safe, and welcoming environment guests remember long after events conclude.

About the Role

• Part-time position with 16–32 hours per week during hockey season.
• Shifts include weekday projects, day-to-day cleaning, and event days.
• Nights and post-event work required (typically 10:00 PM – 2:00 AM).
• Fast-paced environment with varied daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Team up with supervisors and coworkers to prepare the arena for events.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, public spaces, and backstage areas.
• Replenish supplies to ensure guest needs are met.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and more.
• Collaborate with third-party crews to maintain arena standards.
• Assist with storage, inventory, and organization of tools and equipment.
• Handle special cleaning projects and support team needs as required.

Requirements

• Preferably one year of experience in arenas, convention centers, stadiums, or theaters.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate nights, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs., walk long distances, and perform bending, squatting, and kneeling.
• Willingness to obtain a forklift license and valid state driver’s license.
• Friendly, customer-focused attitude, as cleanliness enhances the guest experience.
