Housekeeper | Nursing Home 7am to 3pm

About the role

The Housekeeper 7am to 3pm (Part Time) position at The Pines offers a variety of benefits including a weekly "Thankful Thursday" program and monthly gift giveaways, along with paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Follows specific cleaning and service instructions as outlined by the Director of Environmental Services;
• Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner;
• Completes all assignments scheduled in each unit;
• Gives an assigned unit the attention needed to provide a sanitary, odor free, orderly environment for all concerns;
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs;
• Maintains equipment in good working condition and returns it to proper location after use;
• Affords assistance with room changes, as needed;
• Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights;
• Performs other duties as requested.

Requirements

• A high school degree or equivalent is preferred;
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.

Qualifications

• Good physical condition;
• Working knowledge of standard materials;
• Knowledge of techniques and equipment used in cleaning activities;
• Knowledge of cleaning materials and reasons for their use;
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions;
• Ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the outside public;
• Provides annual verification of negative TB skin test.
