Housekeeper / Laundry Worker

Housing and Sanitation

• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary floor surfaces throughout the facility
• Ensure a healthy and comfortable environment for veterans, staff, and visitors
• Support infection prevention
• Enhance the overall appearance and safety of the facility
• Clean and service resident rooms, baths, and all areas of the facility
• Dust furniture and equipment, clean windowsills, empty trash, and arrange furniture as needed
• Perform a variety of related duties in resident areas
• Perform floor, carpet, and upholstery care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience using cleaning chemicals
• Experience in a healthcare, nursing home, or long-term care facility environment (a plus)
• Experience performing floor maintenance (stripping, waxing, sealing, buffing, carpet cleaning) in a healthcare or high-traffic facility
• Familiarity with infection control and sanitation standards, especially in patient or resident care areas
• Prior experience complying with OSHA, HIPAA, and facility safety regulations
