Housekeeper / Laundry Aide

About the Role

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor, performs housekeeping and cleaning duties within established guidelines in assigned areas. Responsible for the neat and clean appearance of residents' rooms and common areas.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors.
• Dusts furniture; washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Vacuums rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and hallways.
• Rearranges small furniture if needed.
• Sweeps, scrubs, and waxes floors as required.
• Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays; transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Cleans lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, elevator landings, stairways, and hallways as scheduled.
• Reports equipment, structures, or furniture in need of repair; completes maintenance or housekeeping orders immediately if necessary.
• Assists with laundry and linens as assigned, including all stages of linen processing (collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading/unloading washers/dryers/chutes, ironing, folding, storing, and delivering).
• Maintains cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area.
• Performs emergency housekeeping for accidents or special needs.
• Follows department safety standards, body mechanic techniques, and campus-wide safety programs.
• Adheres to highest standards of cleanliness and all federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines.
• Performs duties safely and efficiently; wears required PPE/safety equipment.
• Reports safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor.
• Attends mandatory in-service meetings.
• Complies with all department and facility policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

Pay

Pay range: $20.25–$22.50 per hour.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.
